BIG NEWS for Multi-Unit Purchases!
On Nov. 18, 2023, Fannie Mae’s conventional loan requirements will be updated to allow for the purchase of two- to four-unit properties as primary residences with only 5% down. This is a change from the current requirements of 15% down for duplexes, and 25% down for triplexes and fourplexes. There are no income caps, and no special programs needed to take advantage of the change.
